 
Another initiative of the Consorzio Zai regards the
creation of an Innovation Area
covering 1,300,000 square
metres, 500,000 square metres of which are already Consorzio ZAI property, in the area known as
Marangona located to the south-east of Verona city between the
ZAI Storica and the
Interporto Quadrante Europa in the triangular area created by the Milan-Venice motorway (A4) and the
Bologna-Verona and the
Verona-Mantua railway lines. Its strategic position is clear: it is directly connected to the railway station, the motorway system and other areas like the Interporto Quadrante Europa, Valerio Catullo Airport and Verona Fair. The plan of the area is
based on principles of sustainable design, environmental, economic and social. Companies involved in high technology and attentive to technological research, environmental compatibility and sustainability of the production cycle will base themselves there.
